The team where I am in is involved in business descriptions writing, counter party information collection and company reference work. Personally, I have had the opportunity of assuming different roles and responsibilities in the team during the past one year, which had helped me immensely in developing my career thus far. By either doing or coordinating our daily work, I have come to a gain deep understanding of what it means to provide accurate and timely data to our clients.
In Reuters, I have had the opportunity to practice my English both in speaking and writing. My job responsibility is to produce reliable software on our data collection project. So my daily work is to read software design specification, write code, and do some testing. Currently all of our team members are assigned one or several pieces of task and all of us are playing an important role in the whole project. Our project, which is call GPC (Global Platform Convergence), is related to the core infrastructure of Reuters product platform. So I think our work is important to the company.
Reuters is a global company, mostly people use English as working language. This is a good chance for me to improve my English. Reuters also provides us many trainings which make us to handle our task quickly.
Reuters gives us the chance to touch the core infrastructure of its product. Also we appreciate the famous brand of Reuters and feel proud to work for her.

The most rewarding aspect of my job is the pleasure that I derive from the fact that the work I do is used by fund managers and investment bankers to make important financial and investment decisions.
